The Green Solutions light powered wireless sensor is one of the many energy saving products being developed by Amega Scientific Corporation. This energy harvesting technology is labeled Amega Scientific Green Solutions. Energy harvesting technology is any technology that has solar/light charging capability. The addition of Green Solutions at your site will help your company conserve energy consumption and in turn help the environment. The light powered wireless sensor operates without the need for batteries or being plugged into an electrical outlet. However, the option to plug in to an electrical outlet is always available. This both reduces waste caused by the disposal of old batteries, and reduces power consumption on site.

The Green Solutions sensor will remain charged and is able to function in total darkness after charging during normal business hours from normal indoor lighting. This sensor is equipped with smart technology that registers how long it has been without charging and slows the transmit interval to prolong the sensor's activity. This wireless sensor has the ability to function as a sensor to sensor mesh networked repeater. This allows each sensor to help boost the signals of other sensors at the facility. In addition to the mesh networking, the sensor also has a transmission power adjustment that will increase sensor power if the signal strength drops too low, assuring that the signal from the sensor to the gateway is never lost. The sensor has logging capability that stores up to 7 days worth of data. If the signal is interrupted, when the signal is reestablished the data that is stored is sent to the gateway.
